Jon Nicholas

Jon Nicholas lives in Lexington, Kentucky, where he has directed the Kentuckians, the Lexington chapter chorus, since 2002. He is a two-time Cardinal District champion baritone, singing with The Class of '84 and The Sensations. He also has numerous international chorus medals, including two golds, from singing with the Louisville Thoroughbreds. A prolific arranger, Jon also writes original songs. His website at gives sample clips of most songs and usually a look at the first page of the chart. He also provides learning tracks of most of his songs at a very reasonable rate.

Back In The Saddle Again is a recent release that is available from BHS. It's easy to sing, contest-suitable, and there is a clip from the tracks available on Jon's website.

I Tried Your Love is a tender heartbreak ballad, although not suitable for contest. Of Medium difficulty, it's available from the arranger, who has learning tracks and a demo available.

That's How The Yodel Was Born is a humorous tale about how cowboys started yodeling. It's an uptempo song of medium difficulty, although not suitable for contest. Tracks and a vocal clip are available. Contact BHS for this fun song.

Good Christian Men, Rejoice is one of several hymns and Christmas songs that Jon makes available for free download on his website. No tracks are available for these, but you can't beat the price for the arrangement. They all tend to be easy but not contestable.
